My favourite eye and lip combination for December

I did originally start this blog a couple of years ago but not long after wrote my first couple of posts I changed jobs and started studying for a HNC then life got rather hectic. This is something that I really want to do and just thought today life is too short and I'm going to give it a go. I enjoy makeup, fashion, food and lifestyle and there will be a little bit of everything on my blog but I would think it will be makeup and fashion focused.

We will see how it goes.....read on for my first post!

Moving onto my favourite topic, makeup!

This post is all about my favourite lip and eye combo so far this December.

The NYX  cosmic metals palette is a new purchase for me, I have been using NYX products for quite a while now and have some of their lip, foundation and blush products but had not tried any eye shadows so though for the price point I would give this palette a try. 

Top left - a taupe shimmer with a iridescent glitter

Top Middle - a bronze metallic shade

Top left - a brown/purple looks more brown when swatched on the skin

Bottom left - a peachy copper shimmer

Bottom middle - a plum brown metallic with fine glitter

Bottom right - a gold shimmer/glitter shade.

I am really impressed with the quality of the eye shadows, the pigmentation is good, the colours I've been mainly drawn to using for everyday are the  bottom left colour and the top left colour these are great neutral shades. The top middle bronze shade really packs in the pigmentation ranks and this makes a great bronzed smokey eye.

This palette retails for around £8 

The lip combination I've been wearing this month is MAC Myth lipstick with an Urban Decay 24/7 glide on lip pencil in the colour NAKED.

This is actually the lip liner shade I wore on my wedding day and its still one of my favourite lip nude lip liners and I re-purchase it. It is a creamy lip liner not drying as some can be and stays on the lips well. You can wear it on its own but I think it works better as a liner as it's not matte.

 

Top - Urban decay 24/7 lip liner colour NAKED

Middle - Lottie longwear matte liquid lipstick in the colour SQUAD

Bottom - Mac satin lipstick in MYTH 

I pair it with MAC myth lipstick which is a satin formula, this is a creamy nude peach lipstick and not as flat as some nudes. Goes great with the NAKED lip liner or can be worn alone.

The other lip combination I've been wearing is a Lottie London longwear matte liquid lipstick in the colour SQUAD. This is a brown nude shade an also goes with the urban decay lip liner if you prefer a matte lip. It is a creamy consistency when applies it dries matte and is long wearing. Its not as long wearing as a darker shade I have but it does lasts well on the lip.
